RULE 6 – Keep a blazer and hanger at work
The more conservative your profession, the more likely you’ll need a blazer handy year-round.
As I’m sure you’re aware, the daily summer commute will make you sweat and, in turn, wrinkle your clothing. You have to overcome the heat with preparation (unless of course, you are wearing linen, which is supposed to be somewhat wrinkled in a relaxed, laid back way). Especially during summer, why not keep a solid, or subtle patterned, navy blazer at the office? You’ll have less effort cooling off when you get in.
The goal of professional attire is to make you look, well, professional – put together and intelligent. When you are wrinkled, you look anything but professional. And a hanger means you’ve got a place to keep your jacket unwrinkled for lunch/clients/meetings with the boss.
Wool is a perfect summer option. It will “recover” – aka un-wrinkle – when it is properly hung. At CMMP, we have several great blazer options that will serve you properly for years to come – both in the office and outside it.

RULE 5 – Wear a logo golf polo very selectively
It may be a status thing (hey I belong to this club or that), and perhaps the culture of your job dictates adherence to such a brazen caste system. But, less is more.
Choose wisely based upon when and where you are wearing logo golf polos.
Remember, local logos = provinciality.
Non-logo polos shows global citizenship.
Performance fabrics can be tempting – I love it for outerwear – but nothing beats a cotton pique knit for a polo. Classic rules here. For non-logo options, you try James Perse or Vince.
