Here at Commonwealth Proper, we pride ourselves on creating suits that give our clients the most versatility.
And we have to say, few are more versatile than The Hunt.
Of course, it’s an extremely subtle and refined suit. We suggest pairing it with a bone-colored chevron spread-collar shirt and a black tie. You’ll look elegant and quietly unique.
Since The Hunt fabric includes those bright blue accents and has a slightly heavier hand, it works perfectly as a sports jacket. It’s a navy blazer, but better. Particularly when you pair it with a pair of our tan tech pants and striped oxford-cloth shirt.
And The Hunt trousers do double-duty and stand on their own, thanks to the versatile fabric. You’ll be weekend stylish when you pair them with a one of our grey chambray button-down shirts. Add a chunky shawl–collar cardigan and you’ll look like a country gentleman.

“THE HUNT” SUIT ($2,950)
Masterpiece – once in a while we get there.
Since the Renaissance, the night sky has been an inspiration and a challenge for artists.
Getting it right requires capturing that elusive mix of inky blue and brilliant points of light. There aren’t many Masterpieces beyond Van Gogh’s Starry Night, or Uccello’s dramatic “The Hunt by Night,” which is one of our favorites.
Then we found this cashmere/wool/silk blended midnight twill enlivened with micro “stars” of brilliant blue. And we thought: Masterpiece. “The Hunt” doesn’t need flashy styling. As you get close, it speaks for itself. So we just designed it with stylish notched lapels, our signature slash ticket pocket and double vents.
